January 6, 2011 - The fatal shooting of a woman at 3942 Arlington Square #216 about 5 a.m. today (Jan. 6) willl be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The victim, Bianca A. Perez, 21, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Senior Police Officer E. Castaneda reported:

Houston police officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the body of Ms. Perez inside the apartment.  Witnesses told investigators the gun accidentally went off, fatally striking Perez.

The investigation is continuing.
