Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2211 Briley
December 21, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 2211 Briley about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 20).
The deceased victim, Jessie Shepherd, 24, of the above address, suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second male victim, 28, suffered apparent non-life threatening wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Carrillo and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Shepherd and a second male had been shot. Witnesses reported five unknown male suspects, with their faces covered, were involved in the shooting and fled the scene on foot northbound on Briley. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
