Fatal Shooting at 7514 South Gessner

August 9, 2011 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7514 South Gessner about 9:05 p.m. on Monday (Aug. 8).

The victim, Alex Dewayne Wallace, 29, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Blain and M. McStravick reported:

Mr. Wallace was leaving a friend's apartment at the above location when he was confronted by three unknown male suspects. One of the suspects began shooting at Wallace and he was struck several times. The three suspects then fled the scene.

Two of the suspects are described only as black males. The third is described only as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male.
