Fatal Traffic Accident at 11600 Homestead March 8, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 11600 block of Homestead about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday (Mar. 7). The male victim, 39, suffered major head injuries and was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J.K. Richard and Officer C. Long reported: The victim, driving a Yamaha Kodiak ATV, and his friends, also driving ATVs, went to a bar in the 11600 block of Homestead and left traveling southbound on Homestead on the sidewalk. The victim then lost control, flipped his ATV over and hit a metal sign pole. The friends called for an ambulance and the victim was transported to the hospital. The friends stated the victim had consumed a few drinks at the club.
