Investigation into Fatal Drowning at 12000 Fleming

July 26, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal drowning at 12000 Fleming about 7:15 p.m. on Saturday (July 24).

The victim, a 3-year-old boy, was transported to East Houston Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.  His identification is pending notification to family members.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Officer B. Oxspring reported:

The boy was playing in the apartment complex swimming pool while under the supervision of extended family members.  The family members noticed the boy was missing and discovered him underwater.  He was pulled from the pool and CPR was administered by family and emergency personnel before the boy was transported to the hospital.
