Fatal Stabbing at 12415 Bexley
July 14, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a female at 12415 Bexley about 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday (June 13).
The victim, Tasleemah Harvey, 37, suffered a stab wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and Officer M. Khan reported:
A married couple, Mrs. Tasleemah Harvey and Zachariah Harvey was separated but still living together at the above residence with their children. The two began to argue about a past due electric bill and Harvey, believing that Mrs. Harvey would become violent, went to his bedroom and locked his door. Mrs. Harvey kicked in the door and began to physically assault her husband. Harvey left his bedroom and went to the kitchen to hide several knives, so that Mrs. Harvey could not assault him with the knives. Mrs. Harvey then grabbed a knife and attempted to stab Harvey. Harvey, holding several knives, then stabbed Mrs. Harvey one time in the chest. Mrs. Harvey fell to the floor and, after calling 911, Harvey began to perform CPR.
Charges are pending further investigation and autopsy results.
