Fatal Shooting at 7906 Shotwell February 22, 2010 - The fatal shooting of a man at 7906 Shotwell about 4:40 a.m. on Sunday (Feb. 21) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury. The deceased male has been identified as James Earl Wallace, 36, of Houston. He suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male shooter was not injured in this incident. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. E. Roberts and Senior Police Officer R. A. Moreno reported: Wallace arrived at a residence in the early morning hours, armed with a pistol. As he had done on a previous occasion, a male resident ordered Wallace to leave, but Wallace refused and both men got into an argument. As Wallace tried to get the pistol out of his waistband, both men struggled and, at some point, a shot was fired. Wallace was struck and died at the scene.
