Fatal Traffic Accident at 10200 North Loop East April 23, 2010 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 10200 block of the North Loop East (Interstate Highway 610 North) about 4:15 a.m. today (April 23). The victim, Moises Jesus Martinez, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Morgan and Officer E. Simpson reported: Mr. Martinez was driving his black GMC Sierra pickup truck northbound in the southbound lanes of the North Loop East near Gellhorn when he struck a white Peterbilt tractor-trailer truck head-on. Martinez was killed at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries. Further investigation determined Martinez was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
