Investigation Into Fatal Shooting at 3700 Wheeler April 19, 2010 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 3700 Wheeler about 1:05 a.m. on Saturday (April 17). Joshua L. McMackle, 18, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Another male suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle and was treated and released. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Parker, J. Wilson and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported: Several hundred college students were participating in a party at the above address when a fight broke out in the street. Numerous shots were fired and Mr. McMackle was struck in the back. He ran down the street and collapsed in a nearby yard. A second male was also wounded.
