Suspects Wanted, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 8303 Bell Blossom
September 14, 2009 - Charges have been filed against two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 8303 Bell Blossom Lane about 11:55 p.m. on September 10.
Charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon have been filed against Dorian Thomas (b/m, DOB: 1-12-87) and Chelsea Janay White (b/f, DOB: 9-29-89) in the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office. Photos of Thomas and White are attached to this news release. The search for additional suspects continues.
The victim, Darrell Anthony Mouton, 20, of Louisiana, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead the next day.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts, Senior Police Officer B.D. Evans and Officer R.P. Houghton reported:
The victim, Mr. Mouton, was attending a gathering at a residence on Quail Park Drive when he and White began arguing. Following the argument, White threatened to have acquaintances assault Mouton for insulting her. Mouton and an acquaintance then left the gathering and went to a residence on Bell Blossom.
A short time later, White and two males arrived at the Bell Blossom location and one of the male suspects began to beat Mouton outside the residence. Mouton then ran inside the home and was chased by the male suspect who shot at Mouton one time. The bullet first struck the front door and then struck Mouton in the head.
