Investigation into Infant's Death at 6767 Bennington November 23, 2009 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an infant found unresponsive at 6767 Bennington #1011 about 1:50 a.m. today (Nov. 23). Baby Alaysha Hastings, three months, was found unresponsive and transported to L. B. J. Hospital where she was pronounced dead. HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer B.D Evans and Officer K. Lopez reported: Baby Alaysha’s parents found her unresponsive while sleeping in their bed. They called 9-1-1 and attempted to provide first aid to the infant. HFD paramedics arrived and immediately transported Alaysha to the hospital. The investigation is pending Alaysha’s cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
