Investigation into Shooting at 12411 Centre Court

November 2 , 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12411 Centre Court about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 1).

The victim, Baltazar Gerardo Quezada, 45, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R.D. Chandler and Senior Police Officer L.K. Lovelace reported:

Mr. Quezada and his family returned home and were in the front yard of their residence when they were approached by an unknown black male suspect. The suspect and Quezada had a confrontation, at which time the suspect fired a weapon in the direction of Quezada, who was struck at least one time. The suspect then fled on foot.
