Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2727 Synott #3110 May 4, 2009 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2727 Synott #3110 sometime between Thursday (Apr. 30) and Friday (May 1). The victim, Abraham Woods, 44, of Houston was found shot to death in his apartment Friday. HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers R. A. Swainson and J. C. Bonaby reported: Residents of the Villas of Westheimer Apartment Complex complained to apartment management about loud television noises coming from Mr. Woods’ apartment. The management monitored the noise for a 24-hour period and on Friday (May 1) entered Woods’ apartment. Woods was found dead inside. Robbery is believed to be the motive. Woods’ family reported that his white, 2001, 2-door Mercedes was missing from the garage. The investigation is continuing. KJS/JC
