Charges Pending in Shooting at 3400 Cleburne July 1, 2009 - Charges are pending against a suspect arrested following a shooting incident in which a second suspect was critically wounded in the 3400 block of Cleburne about 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday (June 30). The suspect, Jason Pierre Thomlinson (b/m, DOB: 7-26-89) faces a charge of aggravated robbery. A second male suspect suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Gonzales and Senior Police Officer J. Sosa reported: A male, 19, had just left the Texas Southern University campus and was waiting at a bus stop in the 3400 block of Cleburne when he was approached by three male suspects. Two of the suspects demanded the male’s personal belongings while one displayed a weapon. The male then got into a struggle with one of the suspects and was able to get the weapon. At some point, a shot was fired and one of the suspects was struck. The investigation is continuing. VHS/JFC
