Fatality Accident at 5000 West Tidwell

February 17, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 5000 West Tidwell about 2:15 p.m. on Monday (Feb 16).

The victims, Jadon Lee, two years old, and Xavier Lee, 25, were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Baby Jadon was pronounced dead at the hospital while his father, Xavier Lee, is presently in the Intensive Care Unit.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Lefler and Officer P. Tran reported:

Mr. Lee was driving a black Honda Civic east on West Tidwell with his son, Jadon, secured in a child restraint in the back seat of the vehicle. Mr. Lee changed lanes to the right and struck the curb and lost control of the vehicle. The Civic then slid towards the center median where it struck two trees.

The investigation is continuing.
