Fatal Shooting at 10313 Gladewood November 6, 2008 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men and wounding of a woman at 10313 Gladewood about 10:45 a.m. today (November 6). The victim, Daniel Nava Eloisa, 33, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The female victim, Lilliana Del Carmen-Rodriguez, suffered a gunshot wound to the hand and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of her wound. The suspect, Ildefonso Rodriguez-Saldana (H/m, unk DOB), suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.R. McGalin and Senior Police Officer D.W. Arnold reported: Mr. Eloisa and his girlfriend of approximately two months, Ms. Del Carmen-Rodriguez, were seated in their vehicle in the driveway of Eloisa’s residence preparing to leave for work. Rodriguez-Saldana approached the couple on foot and shot the two before he fled to his car, which was parked nearby and occupied by the suspect and Del Carmen-Rodriguez’s ten-year old son. He drove around the block back to the scene and stopped in front of Eloisa’s residence where the child exited the vehicle. Rodriguez-Saldana then apparently shot himself in the head as he sat in his vehicle. The vehicle then rolled several feet and struck a nearby tree. The ten-year old was unharmed. GO/VHS |
