Suspect Wanted in Fatal Stabbing at 2379 Briarwest Blvd Found Dead
July 21, 2008 - A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 2379 Briarwest Boulevard #88 about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday (July 20) was later found dead, the result of an apparent suicide.
Kevin Levelle Moore (b/m, DOB: 12-16-77), accused in the killing of his girlfriend, Angelic Perez, 24, was found at a Harris County residence in the 4000 block of Fir Forest later on Sunday.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.P. Booth and Senior Police Officer A.D. Brown reported:
Ms. Perez and Moore lived together in a room at her uncle's town home at 2379 Briarwest Boulevard. About 12:15 a.m., Ms. Perez's sister heard her screaming for help. The sister was unable to force entry into the room and called for her uncle, who broke through the door. Ms. Perez's uncle saw Moore kneeling over Perez. Moore then ran past the uncle and fled the scene as family members called 911. Ms. Perez suffered a stab wound to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Later Sunday, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a residence on Fir Forest on reports a man matching Moore’s description had hanged himself in the garage outside the home, owned by Moore’s family members.
