Charges Filed in Fatal Shooting at 7313 Northline August 20, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7313 Northline about 3:20 a.m. on Sunday (August 17). The suspect, Calvin Moore (b/m, DOB: 7-31-87) is charged with murder in the 174th State District Court. The victim, 19, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. D. Shirley and Officer J. Robles reported: The victim and two friends, who were visiting Houston from the Huntsville area, met Moore at a gas station and gave him a ride to a nearby apartment complex. Once they arrived at the complex, Moore shot the victim once in what is believed to be a robbery attempt. A follow-up investigation by homicide investigators and the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force developed information on Moore’s whereabouts. He was arrested on Tuesday (August 19) and confessed to the shooting. Update: VHS/JC |
