Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident at 7600 Office City Drive April 28, 2008 - Charges have been filed against a suspect involved in a fatal traffic accident in the 7600 block of Office City Drive about 9:20 p.m. on Friday (April 25). The suspect, Rafael Dominguez Arroyo (H/m, DOB: 10-24-83), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 184th State District Court. The male victim, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer J. Garcia reported: Arroyo was driving in a red Ford Expedition through a strip center parking lot in the 7600 block of Office City Drive. As he turned out of the parking lot, his vehicle struck the victim, who was standing on the driver’s side of an orange GMC box truck. Arroyo continued forward in the vehicle, crossed the street, went up over the curb, past the sidewalk and struck a parked Honda in an apartment parking lot across the street. The parked Honda then struck an apartment building. Arroyo then drove through the rear of the parking lot back onto Office City Drive. Witnesses followed Arroyo to the Woodlands where the witnesses and deputies detained him. The investigation is continuing. VHS/GO |
