Suspect Arrested in Fatal Double Shooting at 4300 Tampico April 21, 2008 - A suspect has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of two men in the 4300 block of Tampico about 9 p.m. on April 17. The suspect, Anderson Ball Lovings (b/m, DOB: 8/4/89), is charged with capital murder in the 263rd State District Court. He is accused in the killings of Marquis Antrell Curvey, 29, and Lloyd Charles Baldwin, 26, both of Houston. The men suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants E.R. Lorenzana and M. Dillingham reported: Witnesses stated Baldwin, Curvey and Lovings completed a drug transaction near the intersection of Tampico and Pointer when Lovings reached down, pulled out a gun and shot both men while in their vehicle. Baldwin and Curvey drove away and struck a tree at 4310 Tampico. A follow up investigation led to the identification of Lovings as the suspect in this case. He was arrested on Friday (April 18) at his residence in the 4000 block of Denmark. Update: GO/JC |
