Incident at 8811 Spaulding October 20, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of an aggravated robbery suspect by a homeowner at 8811 Spaulding about 8:10 p.m. on Friday (October 19). The homeowner, Frank Miller, 26, of 8811 Spaulding, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while the second victim, Marvin Hunter, 25, of 3506 Legion, suffered at least one gunshot wound. Both victims were taken to area hospitals, where they remain. The deceased suspect, Jermaine Lockett (b/m, unk DOB), suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital where he later died. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts and Officer T. Pool reported: Locket and two other suspects approached Miller, Hunter and a female friend, as the victims were in the driveway of Miller’s residence. At least two of the suspects were armed with assault rifles when they ordered Miller, Hunter and the female to the front door of the residence. Miller was forced inside the residence by Lockett, who was armed with an assault rifle while Hunter and the female were kept on the front porch, by a second armed suspect. Once inside the residence, Miller began struggling with Lockett and both men were shot. After hearing the gunshots, Hunter and the female began running away. The second suspect then fired several shots, striking Hunter at least one time. The female was not injured. The other two suspects fled the scene. The suspects are described only as two black males. Investigators believe the incident is narcotics related since narcotics were recovered from within the residence.
