Incident at 3244 Reeves
March 28, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3244 Reeves about 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday (March 27).
The victim, Kenneth Wayne Hickman, 22, of 3244 Reeves, suffered a gunshot wound to the hip and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D.A. Ferguson and Officer T.S. Tyler reported:
Mr. Hickman arrived home, parked his car behind his residence and was attempting to move another car out of his driveway when he was approached by the suspect. A witness reported the suspect began yelling at Hickman before pulling a gun from the front of his pants and shooting Hickman several times. Mr. Hickman ran inside his residence as the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He fled in a burgundy, 1992 Pontiac Grand Am.
