Incident at 1603 Gessner
March 3, 2007 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1603 Gessner
about 7:45 p.m. on Friday (Mar. 2).
The identity of the deceased victim, 21, is pending
notification to family members.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Walker and
Officer C. Hufstedler reported:
Investigators were told two groups of individuals
had argued earlier Friday and later continued the confrontation
in a strip center parking lot at 1603 Gessner. At some point during
that second encounter, gunfire was exchanged resulting in the
shooting of one male. The victim was transported to Ben Taub General
Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses said four to five Hispanic males were
seen leaving the scene in two vehicles, one a green Saturn and
the other a 1990s white Lincoln Town Car.
