Update on Incident at 4218 Lillian
March 2, 2007 -- The fatal stabbing
of a man found at 4218 Lillian about 3 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 26)
will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The suspect is identified Juan Carlos Zelaya-Rodriguez
(H/m, DOB: 6-10-71).
The victim’s identity is pending verification
by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. He suffered
trauma and stab wounds to his body and was pronounced dead at
the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M.W. McStravick,
C.W. Howard and Officers T.A. Andrade and E.R. Carstens reported:
The victim was involved in a physical altercation
with Zelaya-Rodriguez in an apartment building. During the altercation,
which continued down a nearby street, the victim suffered severe
physical trauma and stab wounds to his body. He was stuffed in
a garbage can, where he was later found.
