February 14, 2007 -- Charges
have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man
at 3302 Hutchins about 6:30 p.m. on November 15, 2006.
The suspect, Demontrion Terreil Albert (b/m,
DOB 3-9-87), is charged with capital murder in the 338th State
District Court. Albert was already in custody on unrelated charges.
He is accused in the killing of Perry Lee Williams, 35, of 3302
Hutchins, who suffered a gunshot wound and died at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Huynh and Officer
K. Carr reported:
Mr. Williams was found inside his home by friends
who forced their way into his residence after being unable to
contact him for several days. Upon arrival, they were unable to
get a response at the door and noticed a foul odor coming from
inside the residence. Apparently, several articles were stolen
from the residence.
A follow-up investigation led investigators to
identify Albert as the suspect in the killing.
