Incident at 7354 Thurow August 20, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the murder/suicide of a couple at 7354 Thurow at 10:20 p.m. Sunday (August 19). The victim, Daniela Mendiola, 18, sustained two gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, Eduardo Ibarra Mendiola, shot himself and was also pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Officer D. Daniel reported: The couple had been married for about a month. Daniela arrived at her parents house about 10 p.m. after attending a concert with some friends. Eduardo arrived a short time later and argued with Daniela in one of the bedrooms of the house. Eduardo produced a 40-caliber handgun and shot Daniela in front of her mother before turning the gun on himself.
