Incident at 10172 Larry
September 10, 2006 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10172
Larry about 10:20 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 9).
The victim is identified as Miguel Escobar, 22,
of 10172 Larry. He suffered a gunshot wound and was transported
to LBJ Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Officers P.T. Yochum and
M. Cruz reported:
HPD officers responded to a shooting call and
saw citizens performing CPR on Mr. Escobar. Officers also assisted
with CPR until paramedics arrived. Witnesses said Escobar had
left friends at a nearby house and arrived at his home. His truck
was seen pulling up in front of his residence. The witnesses said
four Hispanic males were seen in the area prior to the shooting.
The males were driving in a maroon or burgundy two-door pickup
truck with an extended cab. The truck is possibly a 2000-year
model Chevrolet.
Escobar's vehicle, a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe, was
stolen from the scene. The vehicle has a custom lime green over
black paint scheme and has Texas license plates 94KMP4. It has
tinted windows, a custom roll pan that replaced the rear bumper,
and 24 inch chrome wheels.
