Incident at 615 Coronado
September 3, 2006 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 615 Coronado
about 2:30 a.m. today (September 3).
The victim, Juan Luna, 28, of 615 ½ Coronado,
suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to an area hospital
where he later died.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.W. Howard and
Officer T.A. Andrade reported:
The victim was standing in his driveway with
other family members when a vehicle stopped in front of the driveway.
A suspect inside the vehicle pointed a gun at the victim and said
in Spanish, "this is a robbery." The suspect then fired
multiple shots at the victim, striking him multiple times, before
leaving the area in the vehicle.
There are possibly two suspects whose descriptions
and identities are unknown who left in a long older model car.
The vehicle is white in color and could be a Chevrolet.
