Incident at 5050 Sunflower #50

October 20, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 5050 Sunflower #50 about 12:42 a.m. today (October 20).

The deceased victim is identified as Thedral Charles Heller, 20, of 1221 Redford #307C. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant O. Belmarez and Officer R. Cervantes reported:

Heller was visiting an acquaintance (witness). The witness stated that Heller produced two guns and was playing with them. Heller mentioned to the witness that he was hungry and went to the kitchen, putting one of the guns in his pocket and wrapping the other gun in a T-shirt. The witness told police he heard a gunshot shortly after and found Heller lying on the kitchen floor.

The investigation is continuing.
