March 7, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8701 South Braeswood about 8:10 p.m. on Friday (Mar. 3).

The victim is identified as Patrick Robinson, 35, of 8701 South Braeswood #67.

HPD Homicide Division Officers B.W. Nabors and T.S. Tyler reported:

Mr. Robinson and several friends were in the parking lot of the apartment complex working on his vehicle. An unknown suspect drove up in a two-door blue Chevy Monte Carlo, exited his vehicle and began arguing with Robinson. At some point during the altercation, the suspect produced a handgun and shot Robinson in the head. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and fled the scene. Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him dead. Investigators are searching for a two-door blue Chevy Monte Carlo with Texas license plates 444-FTF.
