Incident at 5638 Selinsky
July 16, 2006 -- Houston Police
homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a
female victim at 5638 Selinsky on July 15, 2006.
Homicide investigators P.T. Yochum and E.R. Carstens
report:
On the evening of July 15, 2006, the victim,
Tanya Monique Thompson, was involved in an argument with a male
acquaintance at the Crestmont Village apartments. At approximately
11:20 p.m., the suspect, who was apparently leaving the complex,
stopped and confronted Thompson who was then standing with friends
in the parking lot. The suspect first struck Thompson in the face
with his fist and then pulled a handgun and fired multiple shots
at Thompson. Thompson died at the scene.
The suspect, reported only as a black male driving
a black Ford Mustang convertible with a brown top and loud exhaust,
fled the scene in this vehicle.
