Incident at 7170 Parker
January 10, 2006 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7170 Parker
about 8 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2005.
The victim has been identified as Tony Jefferson,
30. He suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the
scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and
Officer A. Mares reported:
According to witnesses, Jefferson was involved
in a verbal argument with an unknown suspect in front of the apartment
complex at 7170 Parker. During the altercation, the suspect pulled
a handgun and shot Jefferson. The suspect, an evacuee from New
Orleans, fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately
5 feet 9 inches tall weighing about 160 pounds. He has dread locks
and wore a black stocking cap. He was dressed in black pants,
a black jacket and goes by the name "N.O.". He is known
to sells drugs in the Homestead/Parker area.
