Incident at 3600 Woodchase #1114
February 14, 2006 -- Houston
police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a 37-year-old
man in the 3600 block of Woodchase on February 14, 2006 at around
2:30 a.m.
Roberto Duarte Diaz and his wife had just arrived
to their apartment complex after attending a club. The wife headed
to the front door while Diaz retrieved items from the car. The
suspect, described as a dark skinned male, was seen running from
a breezeway and approached Diaz as he stood by his car.
The suspect pulled out a handgun and shot Diaz
one time in the face. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Diaz died at the scene and his wife was not harmed. HPD Homicide
Division Sergeant H.R. Hernandez and Officer D.S. Vasquez reported
there is no known motive for the shooting.
