Update on Incident at 10110 Forum Park

December 14, 2006 -- Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 10110 Forum Park about 1:50 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 11).

The suspect, Keaaron Reed (b/m, DOB 3/15/89), is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Frederick Jasper Porter, 22, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.J. Anthony and Officer D.W. Arnold reported:

Witnesses reported seeing a group of black males fighting in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Keaaron Reed pulled a handgun and shot Mr. Porter once as he stood next to his vehicle and several more times as Porter sat inside of that vehicle. Reed and the other males fled the scene on foot and possibly in a maroon or burgundy Ford Thunderbird of Taurus bearing a Texas license plate beginning with 511.
