Incident at 7400 Keller

August 30, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 7400 Keller about 10:50 a.m. today (Aug. 30).

The victim is identified as Raymond Hernandez, 40, of 7310 Narcissus. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was in critical condition at an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B.E. Roberts and Officer J. Sosa reported:

Mr. Hernandez was sitting on a bench near the basketball courts at Ingrando Park when a small beige/tan vehicle drove by east on Keller. The front seat passenger stuck his hand out the window and fired shots in Hernandez's direction, striking him one time. Paramedics were called and transported Hernandez to the hospital.

Though the location is known for narcotics and gang activity, it is unknown whether either of those factors played a role in the shooting.

Surveillance Photo Released in Fatal Shooting at 1900 Jensen Drive

November 19, 2020 - Houston police have released a surveillance photo of a suspect wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 1900 Jensen Drive about 9:15 a.m. today.

The victim, believed to be in his 60s, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The suspect is described only as a black male wearing a red hoodie and khaki-colored pants.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Crowder and A. Vinogradov reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address and learned the victim had been transported to the hospital where he died. Detectives reviewed surveillance video and observed the suspect run up to the victim and shoot him in the back.  The suspect then took money and/or items from the victim before fleeing.
