2nd Update on Incident at 11800 Westheimer

Gonzales, the victim involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred
on Sunday, August 27, 2006 at 11800 Westheimer, has died from
injuries suffered when she was either thrown from or jumped from
her moving car. The suspects, when captured, will now face capital
murder charges.
The vehicle taken in the aggravated robbery that
occurred at about 7:30 p.m. has been recovered. It was found abandoned
with the door standing open at a gas station at 10010 Beechnut.
Investigators are hoping someone saw the person or persons who
abandoned the gray 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse, bearing Texas license
plate J54YFK.
Details of the incident at as follows:
HPD Homicide investigators J. H. Roberts and C. Y. Park reported
that 23-year-old Jeanette Gonzales left church at approximately
7:00 p.m. and was traveling alone in her vehicle. She was followed
by a friend, to a tea house restaurant located next to the Hong
Kong Market at Bellaire Blvd. and Boone Road. Ms. Gonzales entered
the parking lot, followed by her friend. Her friend parked on
the East Side of the parking lot and last saw her driving toward
the west side of the parking area. The friend walked into the
restaurant but Gonzales never came inside.
At about 7:30 p.m., witnesses observed Jeanette
either jump from or be pushed out of the passenger side of her
vehicle just east of Kirkwood on Westheimer. The vehicle continued
to travel eastbound on Westheimer.
Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity
around the Hong Kong Market or who may have observed the victim
or her vehicle is urged to contact the Homicide Division at 713-308-3600
