Incident at 5404 Ingomar Way

April 27, 2006 -- A man found unresponsive at 5404 Ingomar Way last October 11, 2005, has died and his death has been ruled a homicide.

The victim is identified as Frank John Phillips, 67, of 7210 Northline Drive #2305. He died on Monday, April 17, at an area nursing home. An autopsy revealed he had suffered from complications due to blunt head trauma.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Riojas and Officer R. Cervantes reported:

Doctors at Ben Taub General Hospital said Mr. Phillips had sustained contusions to his brain that left him wheelchair bound. He was eventually transferred to a nursing home where he died on April 17.
