Incident at 4000 Hollister
April 22, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the stabbing of two men, one fatal, at 4000
Hollister about 11:45 p.m. on Friday (Apr. 21).
The deceased victim has been identified as Jonas
Urgiles, 27, of 4000 Hollister #212. He suffered multiple lacerations
to his body and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where
he later died. A second unidentified victim, who was also transported
to Ben Taub, received only minor injuries.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick
and Officer T. Andrade reported:
The victims were driving through the parking
lot of an apartment complex when an unknown suspect stepped in
front of their vehicle forcing it to stop. Their vehicle was then
surrounded by up to 12 Hispanic males who attacked the victims
as they exited the vehicle. Urgiles was stabbed multiple times
and the second victim, whose wallet was taken by one of the suspects,
received minor stab wounds. Robbery is believed to be a possible
motive.
