Update on Incident at 4629 Shreveport
September 6, 2005 -- Houston
police homicide investigators have released composite sketches
of two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 4629
Shreveport about 1 p.m. on July 8.
The victim, Carlos Davila, 46, of 4629 Shreveport
suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead
at the scene.
The suspects are described as two black males
in their late teens or early 20s. The shooter was about 5 feet
4 inches tall, while the second suspect was taller, about 6 feet
3 inches tall.

C. Scales reported:
Two unknown black male suspects forced their
way into the residence at 4629 Shreveport and held the deceased
victim, his 17-year-old son and a family friend at gunpoint. One
of the suspects began to ransack the residence while the other
held the victims captive. At some point, the suspect guarding
the victims began to strike the 17-year-old with a pistol. Mr.
Davila pleaded with the suspect to stop assaulting his son. When
the assault continued, Mr. Davila attempted to go to the aid of
his son and was shot in the chest by the suspect.
