Incident at 8100 Rockhill
October 30, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man during an
aggravated robbery at 8100 Rockhill today (October 30) about 12:30
a.m.
One of the victims of the robbery, Cory Chrumcak,
18, of 715 F.M. 1959, suffered stab wounds to the arm.
One of the suspects (the deceased) has been identified
as Stacy Joseph Johnson (b/m DOB: 08/24/67) of 2939 Leonidas,
N.O. He suffered stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officer R. Chappell and
Officer B. Evans reported:
Chrumcak and his companion were the victims of
an aggravated robbery/kidnapping. Chrumcak was able to run to
a nearby apartment complex and call the police and ambulance.
His companion went to Memorial Herman South East Hospital to seek
medical assistance. The police were called to the location where
a third man, Johnson, was stabbed and subsequently died and a
fourth man was arrested.
Investigators gathered from the evidence at the
scene that a large struggle took place. It appears that Chrumcak
stabbed the suspects that attempted to steal his truck at knifepoint.
The suspect arrested is pending charges for aggravated robbery.
