Update on Incident at 13350 Northborough Lane
October 3, 2005 -- Houston police
homicide investigators have arrested a suspect wanted in the fatal
shooting of one man and wounding of another at 13350 Northborough
Lane on July 30, 2004.
The deceased victim, Ronney Johnson Jr., 19,
suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body and was
pronounced dead at the scene. The surviving victim, Vinton Brownlee,
25, was shot in the right forearm and transported in a private
vehicle to Northwest Medical Center. Both men lived at 13335 Northborough
#1806.

S.R. Kennedy and Officers T.W. Miller and I.F. Flores Jr. reported:
Investigators received a tip on a suspect in
this case after it was featured in a Houston Chronicle Crime Stoppers
article On September 19, 2005. As a result of that article, a
suspect was identified and a murder charge was filed against him
in the 232nd State District Court. Investigators learned the suspect,
Delroy Antonio Forrest (b/m, DOB 5-11-81), was hiding out in his
parents' house in Long Island, New York. Sergeant S.R. Kennedy
and Officer Miller traveled to New York where, with the assistance
of Nassau County authorities, they arrested the suspect outside
his parents' home. The suspect later confessed to the murder and
is now awaiting extradition back to Texas.
