Incident at 7930 Corporate
November 13, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7930 Corporate
on November 12, 2005 about 3:30 p.m.
The victim is identified as Quentin Jamal Thomas,
26. He suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the
scene.
The suspect is a b/m in his late 20s to mid 30s.
He is 5'06" to 5'08" feet tall and approximately 200
to 300 pounds. He is described as being bald with a "beer
belly."
The suspect was wearing a red muscle T-shirt
with black shorts and seen as the passenger in a black Toyota
or Nissan pick up truck. The truck has red lettering on the tailgate
and tinted windows.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and
Officer T. Huynh reported:
Thomas was standing at a convenience store at
Beechnut and Corporate when the suspect (a passenger of the pick-up
truck), pulled up and confronted Thomas with a gun. Thomas fled
northbound on Corporate with the suspect chasing him on foot.
Thomas ran to the office of an apartment complex, which was already
closed for the day and thus locked. The suspect caught up with
Thomas and shot him on the steps of the apartment complex leasing
office. The suspect fled on foot from the scene.
