Traffic Incident at 1200 Katy Freeway

December 12, 2005 -- Two people died and four others were injured after a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the 1200 block of the Katy Freeway on Monday, December 12, 2005 around 2:55 a.m.

Houston Police Department Mobility Incident Management Division Officer S.M. Johnson reported that a car headed eastbound on the Katy Freeway was struck head-on by a Toyota truck that was driving the wrong way on the freeway.

The two occupants of the car were killed and the four occupants of the truck were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the accident.
