Numerous people were walking to their cars or
standing on the parking lot at 8236 South Gessner. The lot serves
as an overflow parking area for a nearby nightclub. Witnesses
reported seeing an argument or fight on the parking lot and an

vehicle that sped from the scene. The vehicle was later found
abandoned in the parking lot of the former Westwood Mall at Bissonnet
and the Southwest Freeway.
No officers were injured in the incident. Sergeant
Giraldo, sworn in as an HPD officer in March 1995, is assigned
