Multi-Family Site Plan Review Process
NEW PROCESS FOR MULTI-FAMILY SITE PLAN REVIEW
Starting today, September 15, 2023, The Planning & Development Department is moving the multi-family site plan submittal process to electronic review through ProjectDox. We are allowing a 30-day window to make this transition.
New multi-family submissions will be processed through the Houston Permitting Center’s ProjectDox System. Below are links that will take you through the process of getting a project number and submitting a project.

Applicants will have the following options for submittal:
- Option 1 - Submit a multi-family site plan for Planning and Fire Marshal review for compliance with Chapter 42 and Fire Marshall review of Appendix D, along with a sitework permit.
- Option 2 – Submit a multi-family site plan for Planning and Fire Marshal review for compliance with Chapter 42 and Fire Marshall review of Appendix D, along with a building permit set.
This process will allow multi-family site plans to be added to the regular review cycle. Plans will be routed to and reviewed by Planning and Fire Marshal. Both departments will make comments if corrections are required.
