Indicator description:

This indicator provides a measure of social ties in our community. The indicator identifies the rate of volunteerism in local neighborhood organizations, measured for the Houston Metropolitan Statistical Area. Examples of volunteer activities include fundraising, mentoring youth, and collecting or distributing food.
