Several city of Houston and local community organizations will participate in the One Safe Houston Community Day. Attendees will enjoy an exciting day of performances by an art dance group and displays and demonstrations by the Houston Fire and Police Departments, including a ladder truck, high-water rescue vehicles, tactical equipment, an HPD helicopter, show cars, and additional surprises.
The Houston Health Department will provide free health screenings and immunizations. The Immunization Bureau will distribute information about childhood vaccines, and there will be representatives from DAWN (Diabetes Awareness Network), and the City's Gang Prevention and Intervention Office.
