Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs Continues The "Feel Like Home Exhibition Series" at City Hall
March 17, 2025 -- The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs (MOCA) invites residents and visitors to explore what “home” truly means in one of the most diverse cities in the world with the “Feels Like Home” exhibition series at City Hall.
"Opening our historic City Hall to the creative community highlights our city's commitment to supporting Houston-based artists and ensuring diverse voices play a vital role in civic life," stated MOCA Director Necole S. Irvin.
With Houston’s population exceeding 6.8 million and continuing to grow, the city is a dynamic mosaic of cultures, traditions, and experiences. As people from across the nation and around the world settle here, the concept of home takes on deeper significance. In its second year, the “Feels Like Home” two-year exhibition series aims to highlight the many ways Houstonians define home, whether through art, food, community, or shared history. This celebration of home reveals that a strong sense of belonging and community foster a safer, more connected city. By showcasing the diverse ways Houstonians define home, the exhibitions reinforce the idea that a thriving, inclusive community is essential to a secure and welcoming Houston.
