About the HEC Director

Roderick Jackson is a Registered Public Safety Leader (RPL) and Certified Public Safety Executive (CPE) with over 28-years of invaluable experience in 9-1-1 Public Safety Communications.  Along with his 20-years of service with the City of Houston in varying capacities, his exceptional leadership abilities were further showcased during his tenure in the Texas Chapter of APCO, where he held several key board positions from 2019 to 2024.

Through his leadership, he ensures the Houston Emergency Center team is well-equipped to respond effectively to the needs of the community.

“My primary mission is to deliver quality service and support to the public, police, and fire departments, thereby enhancing the safety and security of the community,” assured Jackson.
