You are invited! 2024 FALL (IN-PERSON) COMMUNITY MEETING - HAPPENING TODAY
The City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is looking forward to seeing you at our 2024 Fall Community Meetings. HCD is preparing a 5-year strategic plan, called the Consolidated Plan, and needs your help to determine how to spend an estimated $250 million in federal grants on housing and community development programs and services to improve our community. The federal grants will include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investments Partnerships Program (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).
We will highlight our recent accomplishments, while gathering valuable feedback on community needs and priorities to help inform our upcoming five-year strategies and goals to assist low- and moderate-income families in Houston.
Learn about how we serve Houstonians through homebuyer assistance, the development of new affordable homes, home repair, improvement of neighborhood facilities, and the provision of services for low- and moderate-income residents.
